There would be no Reggae without the Skatalites and the Big Band Jazz infused Jamaican style of music they created called Ska. The Skatalites, by all account the greatest band Jamaica has ever produced. This is the inspiration that gave birth to Skaville Music. A label dedicated predominantly to Ska. What better way to launch a Ska Label than to do it with a project entitled “Legends of Jamaica.” Which features thirty-three of the top artists of Jamaica paying tribute to Ska. This project which by the Grace of God and the overwhelming support of the great and truly legendary artists that participated in making it a project of epic proportions.
